Pets. Who never had one, has one, or wants one? From gerbils to cats, from birds to snakes, there's a pet for everyone.
Ever since I got my first turtle 30 years ago, I've always had a bit of a love for the critters, and recently something I've always wanted came true - more turtles.
So far my little zoo consists of these critters:
Otto, a sternotherus odoratus (common musk turtle aka stinkpot)
Cathy, sternotherus odoratus (common musk turtle aka stinkpot)
Ingrid, a trionychidae apalone spinifera (spiny softshell turtle)
Cristel, a trachemys scripta scripta (yellow-bellied slider)
Lluky, a trachemys scripta scripta (yellow-bellied slider)
Alfred Jodokus, a graptemys pseudogeographica kohni (Mississippi map turtle)
Mats, a pseudemys nelsoni (Redbelly turtle)
And then there's a fish tank with these lovely creatures:
1x Angelfish (2 different subspecies)
2x Botia
2x Black Molly (female)
1x Bristlenose catfish
5x Black tetra
5x Caridina multidentata (also known as Caridina japonica)
1x Chinese algea eater
1x Dwarf Gourami
7x Hockey-stick tetra
1x Horseface loach
2x Kuhli loach
1x L 164 (Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps)
5x Red eye tetra
1x Striped panchax
3x Zebrafish
Whereas the fish all share a fish tank where possible, most of the turtles have their own tank. The yellow bellied sliders share a fish tank though.
